This website keeps things simple. It does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. It stores only the small preferences you choose, in your own browser. Blueprint is part of Vasly.
What this site stores
Instead of cookies, this site uses your browser's localStorage to remember a few things so the page works the way you left it:
- Theme: whether you prefer the light, dark, or system appearance.
- Text size: your chosen reading size.
- Compare list: up to three buildings you add to compare on the lookup page, including their addresses.
bp_device_id: a random ID for this browser (not a cookie, never sent to anyone except Blueprint's own server, and only on a lookup - see "Cookieless search recording" below), so we can see how many lookups come from the same install. Lives until you clear site data for this website.
These values stay on your device. They are not sent to our server, they are not shared, and they are not used to identify or track you.
What this site does not do
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No analytics cookies. Nothing is stored on your device to count you.
- No cross-site or cross-app tracking, and no profile of you.
- No advertising trackers.
Cookieless search recording
The lookup page at /grade sends counting events to this
site's own server: the event name, which market, and the outcome. For
a lookup specifically, that event also includes the search text you
typed, the result shown (grade or score), and the bp_device_id
described above, kept for one year - this is no longer address-free,
and we would rather say so plainly here than leave the impression it
still is. No third-party analytics service is involved, and nothing
identifies you: there is no account, no cookie is set, and none of it
follows you between sites, which is why this site asks for no cookie
consent. The lookup request itself still goes straight from your
browser to the city's own open-data portal (or, if your browser or
network blocks that portal, through our server, which forwards it
without logging it and keeps the city's reply for up to five minutes) - the search recording described here
is separate from that relay. See the
Privacy Policy for the full disclosure. The iOS
and Android apps use no cookies of any kind, so there is nothing
here to consent to; from version 1.3.5 the apps always record each
search you make, with no setting to turn it off, described in the
Privacy Policy rather than here.
The private sign-in page
The site owner's analytics dashboard has a sign-in page. Only that page sets cookies: two strictly necessary ones, a short-lived form security cookie and, after signing in, a session cookie. Visitors using the public site never receive them.
Clearing your preferences
You can clear these preferences at any time by clearing site data for this website in your browser settings. The site will simply fall back to its defaults, following your system appearance.
